The ESG has huge potential for Hereford and we fully support the need for it to be developed to meet the needs of the 21st century.
But are the planners and the council going about it in the right way?
A coalition of all 197 Edgar Street Grid businesses say:
No, they are not!
The website, created and managed by local Hereford consultancy WyEd.co.uk, aims to:
- Show that ESG Business Association are in favour of a redevelopment of the Grid which enhances Hereford's local business diversity
- Summarise the current plans, which have been foisted on Hereford businesses and the local community
- Explains why Herefordshire Council and ESG Herefordshire processes are of a poor standard, undemocratic and do not respect local business
- Explains why we think the plans themselves are fundamentally flawed and will leave Hereford at a disadvantage in the future
- Give ideas about how better plans might look
- Inform the public about what ESG Business Association is and what it aims to achieve
- Keep local business and the general public up to date with the latest news on the campaign. Readers can subscribe to both RSS Feeds and Email Newsletters.
- Promote ESG businesses and make links between them
- Promote and encourage genuine debate locally through our forum and other methods, rather than simply telling people what they are going to get
